International research
Designing the right product for an unfamiliar market is challenging. Customer needs and behaviours vary from country to country because of different social norms and market conditions.

Flow's international usability and ethnography projects help organisations reduce the risk of launching products in unfamiliar markets.
We've led and managed usability testing across Europe and the USA for a number of organisations, including mobile networks, BUPA International, Chello Broadband, Lexis Nexis, Yell.com, the BBC and FT.com.
Our mobile labs allow us to set up usability tests quickly, in all sorts of locations.
We've also conducted and coordinated ethnographic research in Europe, Asia, South America and the USA.
We are happy to act as the UK research team for large-scale international projects too. We've done this for clients including Samsung, LG, Motorola and Microsoft.
International partnerships
Flow has an established network of preferred usability and research partners across Europe, Australia, Asia and the Americas.
All local project teams are from well-established usability companies. They have the necessary resources and experience to recruit users, run usability sessions and contextual research, provide observation facilities and report findings and recommendations.
We also have the capability in-house to run user research in German and Spanish.
Online tools for international research
Online research tools can be a powerful and cost-effective way to conduct international research with Web users. We can perform automated, international website usability testing, or use intercept and tracking tools to understand local user behaviours and expectations.
Flow has access to a global collection of user panels, so we can recruit online users on any continent. The research tasks and questionnaires can be translated into all the target languages and run on local sites.
Flow analyses the results to identify consistent themes and behavioural differences between users in different countries.
